Medical Treatment Process in Beijing

First, you can make an appointment via the 114 Registration Platform, with appointments available up to 7 days in advance.

Some hospitals also have their own official apps, where you can register for appointments as well.
Visit the hospital on your scheduled appointment date.
Take Jishuitan Hospital as an example:

First, collect your registration number at a self-service machine. Manual windows are also available, but they usually have long queues, mostly for elderly people who are not familiar with smartphones, resulting in longer waiting times.

After getting your registration slip, go to the designated floor and department, then scan the barcode on your slip at the check-in machine. This is called check-in, confirming your arrival and that you are waiting for consultation.

The machine will determine the consultation order based on your check-in time. When it is your turn, your name will be announced via the broadcast, and displayed on both the large and small screens.

After seeing the doctor, they will issue examination forms and prescriptions according to your condition.
Take the forms to pay at either a self-service machine or a manual window, then proceed for examinations or to collect medicine.
For medication collection: once payment is completed, the pharmacy will prepare your medicine automatically. Your name will appear at the corresponding window to remind you to pick up your medication there.

Once you have received your medicine, the entire medical visit is completed.
